Melodic is...
...three young ladies that love to sing, that find enjoyment in singing and that dream of one day being in that spotlight. When Qiana, Roslyn,
and Jenilee got together in October of '97, they decided to share their talents with other people and call themselves "MELODIC". Not long
after that, they began to do small shows for friends at special parties, weddings, and community gatherings. The name "MELODIC" was
spreading like a rapid fire and soon these three ladies were engulfed with numerous invitations to perform.
 Soon after, they discovered that they needed someone who could handle thier performance schedule more wisely and take care of business
negotiations. That's when they found their manager, Norrie "Lisa" Taylor of B.E.B.O.P. Management. With Norrie's help, Melodic is now in
the process of getting the right exposure by performing around the bay area for certain fundraisers, showcases, corporate parties, high
schools events, and so on. Currently working on their demo tape and webpage, together they work patiently with producers, studio engineers, and webpage designers to complete the
necessities of being able to take a step up into the music industry.
With their special style of R&B, hip hop, soul, and acapella, they have definitely created their marking int he local community of Daly City being the only female vocal group with a
member who is also capable of 'beatboxing'. This unique style has been incorporated into many of their performances and has been a crowd pleasing trademark to their audiences.
"At first, I didn't wanna beatbox because I thought it was just a guy thing," says Qiana Thompson,"but so many people like the fact that a girl could do it and now it is expected of
me to beatbox."
Along with many more years ahead of them, they are determined and willing to do what it takes to become one of the top names in the music business.
"No matter how long it takes for us to get there, we're just gonna keep doing what we do, even if it's gonna take us like FIFTY years from now!!" explains Jenilee 'Anne' Reyes
alongside of Roslyn Guanzon who states, "We believe that the Lord brought us together and that he will continue to KEEP us together."
Melodic has definitely taken another look at this hobby and led it into a whole new direction.. A direction that will hopefully lead them to their dream coming true..
